Session: 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021
Project Gold was by far the best running camp I have ever been to. The Ping’s did a great job running the camp and made sure that everyone had a great time. I’m going to make this simple. If you want to become a better runner you go to Project Gold! If you want to make life long friendships you go to Project Gold! It’s that simple. And “no” you do not need to be some world class runner to go to this camp. Your dedication can make you a great runner. Project Gold will simply help you focus on what is important.
Sessions: 2018, 2020, 2021
Project Gold Running Camp is way more than just learning the techniques of becoming a better runner. It is also about meeting amazing people that turn into life long friends! I would really recommend this camp to others because I truly learned a lot and definitely grew as a runner. Also I made great memories that will stick with me forever.
Session: 2022, 2023
My name is Drew Griffith and I am currently a Junior in high school attending Butler High School. I am a cross-country and track-and-field runner. Over the summer of 2022, 1 wanted to take my training to the next step. I heard of people going to running camps over the summer, and I happened to stumble upon Project Gold on the internet. I decided to give it a shot and it was one of the best decisions I have made.
I flew out to Flagstaff, Arizona for the camp and knew absolutely nobody. I made lots of new friends from around the country, and even got to share a room with two of the kids I have competed against at my state meets. Being able to bond with people who share the same interest in running was something that was very special to me. I learned so much about the sport that I never could have even thought of. Project Gold teaches athletes how to be the best version of themselves, and that is something I cannot thank them enough for. It was an absolute blast, and training with some of the best people around the country is something I will never forget.
For anyone who is considering Project Gold and wants to become a better runner, then it is the place for you. The memories I made will stay with me forever, and I will definitely be attending again this coming summer!
Sessions: 2021, 2022
Hey, my name is Jackson Harris and I’m from Huntsville, Alabama. I went to Project Gold in 2021 and 2022 and wouldn’t have wanted to spend the end of my summer any other way. The first year I attended camp, just me and my teammate went together but after the countless number of friends I made, it felt wrong not to bring the rest of my team out to Flagstaff the next year. The camp offers something you just aren’t going to get anywhere else, training in the best place in the world at 7000 feet of elevation. Some things I valued a little more than the running aspect of the camp were the friends and connections I made! This camp is extremely unique in that you will meet runners from all across the country. Some of the people I met through the 2 years of going to camp I still talk to regularly! I could talk about the fun of camp all day but something that is extremely overlooked when you sign up is the guest speakers, world-class runners, and world-class coaches you will be able to learn from and ask questions. I think we had to have had at least 1 incredibly smart speaker every day so you leave camp with a better understanding of all aspects of running, not just how to run fast but to balance your training with your life. I highly recommend Project Gold to all levels of runners because there’s going to be a training group for you no matter your speed or experience.
Session: 2017, 2018
"Attending this camp has expanded my knowledge on everything running. Not just the physical aspects, but mental too. To be able to train with some of the best in the country has been an awesome experience. I hope Project Gold continues to grow and finds major success in years to come."
Sessions: 2017, 2018, 2019
I have gone to the Project Gold Running Camp for two years now. And I have had great and unique experiences. Both times it was amazing to be around much more experienced and like minded girls. The second year Tom Schwartz was physically there and it was nice to be coached by him in person. I learned running techniques and race strategies. The Ping's put on a very well organized camp. It has started many friendships that will last for a long time. Thanks Project Gold! I can't wait for next year!"
